Guidelines for Poster Presentations

1. Please include poster title, author(s)’ name(s) and affiliation(s) in large letters centered at the top of the page.

2. Please refer to the poster number you will receive upon when your abstract has been accepted.

3. The Poster number MUST be placed in the upper left corner of your poster, as shown in the example below.

4. Contact information should be placed in the top right corner of the poster, as indicated below.

5. The poster should be clearly structured and include the following sections:

- Background
- Purpose
- Methods
- Results
- Conclusion(s)

6. Poster boards should be between 2 x 3 feet and 4 x 8 feet (0.6 x 0.9 meters and 1.22 and 2.44 meters). The poster boards should be double sided, pushpin compatible. It is recommended that each poster presenter bring enough pushpins to mount their poster.

7. The written text and all illustrations should be prepared beforehand. Charts, drawings, pictures, and graphs can be assembled on the poster of the appropriate size or assembled in sections or pieces on the panel.

8. The written text should be sufficiently large to allow easy reading from a distance of approximately 6.5 feet (2 meters). Double-space all text, using left-justified paragraph format. The section headings should be in Courier font type, boldface, 36 point font size. The text within the sections should be in Courier font type, 24 point font size.
